Terms and Conditons

All home baked products made by Classy-Cakes (“us, “we”, “our”) are subject to the following terms and conditions:

 

Ingredients

​

All cakes, fillings and icings may contain, or come into contact with soy, wheat, dairy, nuts, or other allergens.

It is the customer’s responsibility to inform Classy-Cakes prior to the confirmation of their booking of any allergy issues.  It is also the responsibility of the customer to inform their guests of all allergy information and accordingly we will not be held liable for any allergic reaction resulting from consumption of the cake.

Quotes

​

All sale quotes are valid for 7 days from the date of issue.

 

Orders

​

We prefer at least fourteen (14) days’ notice for all orders, as we are continually booked in advance.  We will however; work with short notice orders where availability permits.

 

Due to tedious, handcrafted nature of our baked products, Classy-Cakes will not provide refunds or exchange custom cakes, cake pops, cupcakes and cookies. Once a cake has been picked up by you or a designated party it is considered "Accepted". All products are the responsibility of the customer once it leaves our home bakery. Refunds requested due to decorating style, color shade or general decoration design will not be honored. We only give refunds in accordance with refund policies stated above.

We bake one day and decorate the next. If you need to postpone your cake for another date, Classy-Cakes require at least one week notice. With less notice, we can reschedule your order (depending on availability) however you may incur an extra charge to re-bake the cake/recreate the elements on the cake. If you'd like to change the flavor of your cake, we require 72 hours’ notice. 3D Cakes require at least one week's notice if changes want to be made to the cake or to change the date. Cake flavor and texture is subjective. Refunds requested due to flavor or texture after cake has been accepted and picked up will not be honored. You may qualify for a store credit if the product is brought back to Classy-Cakes and the quality of the cake flavor or texture is determined not to meet our standards (Our cakes are tasted to ensure highest possible quality). Quality determination is solely at the discretion of Classy-Cakes Home Bakery. Our cakes are exceptionally moist. Keep in mind variety in temperature and humidity may impact the flavor, overall design, or texture of the cake to some degree. Please understand we cannot control changes in texture or changes in color or shape due to weather conditions.

Deposits, Payments, Cancellations

​

A deposit of 50% and a signed contract is required to consider this an order and contract for services to be rendered.  The remaining balance is due ten (10) business days prior to the pickup/delivery date.  Any changes to this order must be made no later than ten (10) business days prior to pickup/delivery.  Any changes requested after the signing of this contract cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to additional charges. All deposits are non-refundable.  There will be no credit given for orders cancelled inside of ten (10) business days.  For cancellations with more than ten (10) business days’ notice, credit may be given for a future order, less the fair market value of items that cannot be re-used.  This offer is subject to the date being available.

 

Unforeseen Circumstances

Where Classy-Cakes cancels the booking due to illness or any other unforeseen circumstance that affects the ability to deliver the ordered product, the deposit will be refunded within sever (7) days of notification to the customer.

Final Balance Payments and Pickups

The balance is due on or before pickup date, and before the Product leaves the premises.  If paying by cash, correct change is appreciated, as we may not have the exact change on the premises.

 

If full payment is not received by the due date, the order may be cancelled.

 

The following 3 scenarios are the only instances when we will provide a full refund:

​

1. If we fail to deliver your cake on the date and time stated on your contract for your wedding, or event. If we deliver the cake 2 hours late, or less we will NOT provide a refund. Further, if customer provides wrong date, time or address for delivery, we will NOT provide a refund. **We will not be responsible for any additional expenses that you incur as a result of our failure to deliver the cake. Our liability is limited to the contracted value of the cake.

2. If you come to our home bakery for “pick up” and the cake does not meet your expectations, we will give you a refund (minus 25% handling/cancellation fee). This refund will be in place of a check (NO CASH or CREDIT refunds will be given) NOTE: If we give you a refund, you CANNOT keep the cake. You only get the refund if you refuse to “accept” the cake. We will NOT negotiate a partial refund if you keep the cake. This is a “take it or leave it” policy.

3. If we deliver the cake to you and the cake does not meet your expectations, we will give you a refund (minus 25% handling/cancellation fee). NOTE: If we give you a refund, you CANNOT keep the cake. You only get the refund if you do not “accept” the cake. If you request a refund at time of delivery, you MUST give us back the cake. We will NOT negotiate a partial refund if you keep the cake. This is a “take it or leave it” policy. We are not responsible for any expense you may incur for replacing our cake. We do not give refunds under any other circumstances. Refunds are given within 7 days.

 

Delivery Terms for Special Events

​

The delivery time will be confirmed two (2) business days before your event date.  Cakes maybe setup 1-3 hours before your event.  For outdoor events, we try to setup as close to the reception time as possible, which may limit design options. 

The Client must disclose any adverse road hazards and/or obstacles that may hamper the delivery and quality of finished products.  In the case of unavoidable occurrence, such as an act of God, a car accident, poor road conditions, or dropping of cake during delivery—Classy-Cakes cannot be held liable for more than the price of the cake described in this order.  If the client or clients’ representative is not available to receive the delivery.  A re-delivery fee will be required at the time of receipt of goods and services.

Photographs and Marketing

​

We respect the privacy of all our clients.  We will not disclose the identity of clients (photographs of people, last names, event details, contract details) without permission.  We do however, reserve the right to photograph baked goods and use those photos on our website, social media, or marketing materials.  We also reserve the right to use any photographs for display or promotion with compensation to you.

We Deliver

​

We are currently not offering delivery except for special events or tiered cakes valuing $350.00 or more.

 

Order Early

​

For custom decorated desserts, we recommend ordering at least 3-6 weeks in advance. Placing your order as soon as possible is suggested to ensure your desired date is available. For orders with less than 2 weeks’ notice, design options, sizes, and flavors maybe limited. We rarely can accommodate rush orders. Visit the 'Contact Us' page to check availability.
